Why Every Loop Counts Means So Much To Me

Starting Every Loop Counts is more than just creating a shop for me. It represents creativity, comfort, patience, and finding joy in the little things again.

But it also became personal.

Life gets busy, stressful, and sometimes overwhelming. There are moments when we feel anxious, lost, tired, or disconnected from ourselves. For me, crochet became a way to slow down, relax, and quiet those feelings, even if only for a little while.

There's something comforting about focusing on one small step at a time. One row, one stitch, one loop.

And eventually, those small loops become something beautiful — especially when you never thought you could do it in the first place. That moment when you finish your first project and realize it actually came out exactly right, or very close to how you imagined it, brings a kind of excitement and pride that's hard to describe. It makes all the confusion and learning curves worth it.

That feeling is one of the reasons the name "Every Loop Counts" means so much to me.

At first, it was inspired by crochet itself. Every loop matters when creating a project. Miss one loop, and the whole piece changes. But over time, I realized the meaning goes much deeper than crochet.

Every person counts too.

Every person matters in a family, a friendship, or a community. Sometimes people feel like they don't fit in or don't know where they belong, especially when learning something new. Crochet can feel that way too when you first start out. You might feel confused, frustrated, or unsure of yourself.

I know I'm still learning myself. I'm not the most experienced crocheter, and I still have a lot to learn. But that's part of the journey, and I want this space to feel honest, welcoming, and supportive for others who are learning too.
